My name is Sara Rasmussen and I am starting a new business called Annie Marie Handmade. I have always loved make things. But I really got into it when I found out I was having a little girl. Lets just say I was not very excited. My husband had the idea that I should make the baby and me matching bracelets That's how I got hooked on making jewelry. My hope with starting this business is that every women should have a piece of jewelry that makes her feel beautiful but does not break the bank.
All of the necklaces and bracelets are made with wire and or crimp beads. I use that because I feel it makes the jewelry more durable. I have test driven all of the jewelry myself, so that I know it will last, and not brake easily. My kids can testify to that. I use a lot of seed beads because I like the way they look. I also use a lot of glass because I enjoy the way the light hits the bead and makes it shine. Most of what I make are inspired by songs , can you name them all, and people I know so if you are a close friend don't be surprise if you find a piece named after you.
To my sister Kaite for helping me find the confidence I knew I had, and for teaching me to never give up on a dream. To my sisters from another mother Heidi and Danika for helping me want to start this lillte business,and helping me with the all the tiny little details. To my BFF Allison for helping me with my blog and always being there for me. To my brown eyed boy Kenshin for not spilling my beads. To my Bethany for being my inspiration and the reason I found my love of beads. To my sweet Dyre for helping to remind me I have alot to live for. To my soul mate for putting up with my craziness and letting me always go for my dreams. Thanks you guys I love you all.
